Reporting to Plant Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor position is responsible for overseeing the Maintenance Technicians in performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to Safety, GMP and Preventive Maintenance Systems and Processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives. Responsibilities:

Communicate effectively with teammates and other personnel through two-way verbal communication (speech and hearing)Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities and continuing needsKnowledge and use of basic office equipment as well as computer programs and softwarePerform highly diversified duties to install, repair and maintain production machines and plant facility’s equipmentProvide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine servicePerform simple machinist duties and responsibilitiesPerform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machinesRead and interpret equipment manuals and work orders as well as follow sketches and diagrams to perform required maintenance and serviceDiagnose problems, repair or replace parts, test and make necessary adjustmentsPerform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities according to schedulePerform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functionsUse and maintain accountability for a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing dutiesDetect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to the proper supervisorMaintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulationsAbility to learn and repair packaging related equipment, mechanical equipment such as motors, pneumatic tools, and conveyor systems and general building repairsHave a working knowledge of Distribution Center building codesMust have reliable transportationEnsure food safety and food defense in the plantOversee adjacent rental property light repair and or scheduling of contractorsEducation and Experience:

Prior leadership training and skills2-year technical degree in maintenance related field or 3 years relevant experiencePrior experience in Food Manufacturing, Preferred Must be able to use all basic hand tools as weak as power and pneumatic toolsMust have extensive electrical knowledge12 and 24 volt DC3 phase / 480 volt ACCandidates must have basic computer skills and ability to learn new softwareWelding experience is a plus but not requiredCore Competencies:

Manual dexterityAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionAbility to read schematicsAbility to work safely and effectively in a warehouse environment and in outside yard operationsAbility to safely operate various power equipment including packaging machines, fork lift, pallet jack, high reach order picker, and scissor liftPlease note: This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crawling and climbing all day, as well comfort working from heights, and the ability to lift, push and/or move items up to 50 pounds on a repetitive basis. The role also entails evening, weekend, and overtime work as required.
