The Opportunity:Ashoka’s Finance Team plays an integral role in maintaining a strong financial infrastructure across more than 30 country offices. The Senior Accountant will support the Assistant Controller with core accounting operations, NetSuite transactions, month-end close, audit preparation, reconciliations, and reporting. This role strengthens Ashoka’s financial accuracy, controls, and compliance. This is a great opportunity to support the operational infrastructure of an organization with the ultimate goal of an Everyone a Changemaker world.What You'll Do:Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processesPrepare and reconcile general ledger accounts (cash, AP, AR, accruals, intercompany, restricted funds)Post journal entries and maintain proper documentationMaintain AP/AR and banking activityUse NetSuite for daily accounting, reconciliations, and reportingSupport improvements to NetSuite workflows and internal controlsAssist with audit preparation, schedules, and documentationGenerate monthly and quarterly reports and support variance analysisContribute to process improvement and operational efficiencyAssist the Assistant Controller with special projects as assignedWhat You Bring:Minimum 7 years of accounting experienceExperience with NetSuite Experience with nonprofit and grant accountingExperience with multi-entity and international/intercompany transactionsExperience preparing audit schedules or supporting auditsStrong GAAP knowledge, analytical skills, and attention to detailAbility to work collaboratively across cultures and time zonesBachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA strongly preferredCore Criteria:Entrepreneurial Quality: Compelled to take creative initiative and ownership (e.g. founding an organization or company, starting a movement, or re-shaping the work of an existing organization).
