Gleason Industrial Products is a family owned business and headquartered in Los Angeles, California.The RoleWe are looking for an individual to become our new Senior Accountant, reporting to the VP of Finance.In this role, you’ll be responsible for compiling and analyzing financial reports and other types of data, preparing reconciliations, and processing accounting transactions. You will help maintain the integrity of the general ledger and provide general accounting support. Additionally, you will be involved in tracking and reconciling purchasing and logistics activity with information within our inventory management system. What you’ll do:Prepare journal entries and underlying analysis to support the month-end close processPrepare various deliverables to support the preparation of the financial statements and/or requests for information from all business functionsPerform reconciliations of data from other sources to the general ledger for completeness and accuracy of reportsSupport operational accounting functions (AR/AP) on an as needed basisPrepare current year to prior year and budget to actual analyses and investigate variancesCompile analysis/reports for monthly reviews, annual Financial statement audit or other auditsPrepare/assist with any other ad hoc analysis or analytics as neededPerform research for technical accounting purposesYou’ll love this job if you’re:A strong communicator and collaborator.
