Senior Accountant

Job Title: Senior AccountantLocation: Dubai, UAEExperience: Minimum 5+ years of UAE Accounting Experience.About the RoleWe are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of hands-on experience in UAE financial accounting, with strong expertise in VAT filing, compliance, and solid exposure to corporate tax regulations. Proficiency in QuickBooks and advanced analytical skills are essential for success in this role.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate financial records and oversee daily accounting operations using QuickBooks.Prepare, review, and file VAT returns in compliance with UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA) regulations.Assist in implementing and managing corporate tax frameworks, including documentation and reporting.Analyse financial data and present actionable insights to management.Perform reconciliations of bank statements, ledgers, and accounts payable/receivable.Support external audits and liaise with auditors and regulatory bodies.Identify and resolve discrepancies with a logical and analytical approach.Stay updated on changes in UAE tax laws and accounting standards.Key Skills and CompetenciesProficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.Strong understanding of UAE VAT laws and corporate tax regulations.Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.Strong organizational and time management abilities.Effective communication and teamwork skills.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Certification in VAT or UAE Taxation is an advantage.Experience in financial reporting and budget forecasting.Proficiency in QuickBooks is preferred.What We OfferCompetitive salary package.Visa and medical coverageOpportunity to grow in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.Ready to take your accounting career to the next level?
