Reporting to the Manager – Technology Delivery There are several key accountabilities in this role.Your focus is on leading the design, development, and continuous improvement of digital solutions within the Statistics DevOps team. You’ll have input into technical roadmaps and solution strategies and build strong relationships with business stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver impactful insights.  This Role Would Suit Someone Who Can BringExperience working with data lake environment, such as Cloudera or Databricks  Solid Microsoft SQL programming experience  Knowledge of different database systems, such as RDBS, NoSql  Ability to work in Linux and windows operation systems  Experience in coding, testing and development of backend systems  Knowledge of functional and object-oriented programming  Knowledge/familiarity with the DevOps model, in-house standards, and best practice  A proven ability to establish collaborative relationships within team and with business  Proven ability to own problems/issues and drive them through to resolution/mitigation  Proactive reporting of progress on work assignments (including delays) to appropriate managers  Active engagement in up-skilling in new technologies  Knowledge/familiarity or a commitment to learn/understand Te Ao Maori, including ensuring opportunities at Stats NZ reach the Maori community.What you bring | Nōu te rourouWe understand transferable skills can come from experience gained from outside of work.
