Job Description: The Senior Analyst, Analytics & Insights is critical in turning data into meaningful stories. We’re looking for someone who can do more than just crunch numbers — someone who can bring data to life. This role sits at the intersection of analytics, storytelling, and strategy, translating complex information into clear, actionable insights for both internal teams and external clients.You’ll spend most of your time transforming raw data into compelling visual stories that explain why performance is changing — not just what is changing. You’ll also design and automate reports, consult with clients on data-driven decisions, and help shape how our company (and our clients) think about loan performance, operations, and more.This isn’t a data engineering role — we’re not looking for someone who wants to spend all day optimizing pipelines. We’re looking for an analyst who thinks like a consultant, understands the business behind the data, and can communicate findings with confidence and clarity to audiences ranging from executives to front-line staff.Responsibilities:1. Craft and Present InsightsBuild and deliver monthly performance slide decks that tell a clear, cohesive story about loan portfolio performance and operational trendsPresent findings to clients — from C-suite executives to operational teams — and confidently answer questions on the flyAct as a data consultant: helping clients interpret results, understand key drivers, and identify opportunities for improvementWork across several business topics to explain activity and monitor performance, from loan portfolio performance, call center metrics, operational & loan servicing activity, collections efficacy, and more2. Analyze, Build, and ImproveDevelop dashboards and recurring reports in tools like Tableau, SuperSet, or SSRS that empower stakeholders to explore data independentlyWrite SQL queries to extract and transform data from dozens of systems; create and maintain datasets optimized for reporting and analysisMaintain the highest degree of accuracy and quality to support trusted, robust analytics Partner with data engineering to resolve data issues, enhance data quality, and improve usability across data sources3. Manage Requests and ProjectsHandle a variety of ad-hoc and recurring reporting requests — both internal and client-facing — with a high degree of accuracy and reliabilityJuggle multiple priorities and projects, balancing daily deliverables with long-term analytical initiativesWork across departments (Operations, Finance, Compliance, etc.) to define metrics, build dashboards, and uncover insights that drive business decisionsLead analytical projects that explore new metrics, daily performance tracking, and data storytelling methodsContinuously seek ways to improve efficiency, automation, and clarity in reportingEducation & Other Minimum Requirements:2–4+ years of experience in data analysis or business intelligenceStrong SQL skills — comfortable querying, joining, and manipulating data from multiple systemsProficiency with a modern data visualization tool (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, or SuperSet).Proven experience presenting analytical insights to varied audiences — technical and non-technical alikeExceptional organization and time management in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication skills and the ability to distill complex analyses into clear, actionable narrativesCuriosity, initiative, and a self-starter mindsetDemonstrated history of crafting and maintaining metrics, KPI's, dashboards, and other analysesAbility to work independently with large, complex, and sometimes messy or unfamiliar datasets – including validating data, identifying inconsistencies, and troubleshooting data quality issuesBonus points if you have:Experience with data automation or light ETL work using tools like Python, DataBricks, or SQL Server AgentFamiliarity with relational database management (e.g. stored procedures, creating tables and views, MERGE statements)Background in finance, lending, or a similar data-rich, regulated industryAdvanced degree in a quantitative or analytical discipline (e.g. Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Data Science)
