Their Finance function plays a critical role in investment and corporate accounting, valuations, financial reporting, and analytics.Working closely with internal teams, auditors, and external advisors, the group delivers timely, accurate, and relevant financial insights to drive strategic decision-making. Within this function, the Financial Reporting & Valuations team oversees valuation and pricing of funds, preparation of audited financial statements, and reporting to clients and business partners.About This Role:The Senior Analyst or Associate, Valuations will support year-end and mid-year valuation processes for illiquid investments across infrastructure, private equity, and private debt portfolios. The role ensures accurate and compliant fair value reporting under IFRS 13 while contributing to ESG and carbon footprint assurance initiatives within Private Markets.Key responsibilities include:Reviewing and analyzing valuations prepared by internal teams or external valuators, validating methodologies and assumptions.Developing or reviewing valuation models and summarizing results for management reporting.Supporting the mid-year valuation cycle, including planning and execution.Collecting and validating key valuation metrics (enterprise value, equity value, revenue) for ESG and carbon footprint reporting.Maintaining transparent documentation and audit trails for valuation processes.Liaising with auditors and supporting assurance deliverables.About the Candidate:The ideal candidate will bring:A CPA designation (or international equivalent such as CA, ACA, ACCA).A CBV designation, or active pursuit of the CBV, CFA, or CFA Level II.Strong technical understanding of valuation methodologies for private market investments.Working knowledge of IFRS fair value accounting (IFRS 13).Advanced Excel modeling skills and experience with Capital IQ.Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational abilities with strong attention to detail.Capacity to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.Experience with private equity or private debt valuation is considered a strong asset.Compensation & Benefits: This is a 6-month contract position offering competitive compensation in the range of $60-90 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Talent Edge and our client are committed to pay equity, fairness, and transparency in all hiring practices.Location: Remote (Canada-based) - with occasional, pre-approved travel to the client’s office (1–2 times during the term). Expected working hours will be 7 hours per day from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM PT, five days per week, with required availability during core hours of 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM PT.
