It’s embedded into every decision we make, from project development and construction to long-term operations.We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Accounts Payable Accountant to join our finance team and support the efficient and accurate processing of accounts payable activities across our multi-jurisdictional operations. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of end-to-end AP processes, contribute to process improvement initiatives, and mentor junior colleagues.What You’ll Do:End-to-End Invoice Processing: Oversee and ensure the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, both PO-based and non-PO, across multiple jurisdictions (Austria, Romania, Bulgaria, Baltics, Hungary, Poland, Slovenia).Prepayments & Advances Oversight: Supervise the management of prepayment and advance requests, validating documentation and ensuring compliance with internal controls.Approval Workflow Optimization: Monitor, enhance, and support the invoice and PO approval process, working closely with internal stakeholders to remove bottlenecks and ensure alignment with organizational policies.Reconciliations & Controls: Perform complex reconciliations of AP sub-ledgers and supplier accounts. Resolve variances and ensure alignment with the general ledger. Lead monthly AP close processes.Reporting & Compliance: Prepare detailed AP reports, ensure accurate documentation, and support audit and compliance requirements with a high level of accountability.Vendor Relationship Management: Act as a primary point of contact for key suppliers. Resolve escalated disputes and negotiate resolution to aged items.Team Support: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior AP staff. Share best practices and support training initiatives.Systems & Process Improvement: Drive the use of digital tools, such as Kefron, and ERP systems (NetSuite) for enhanced efficiency. Proactively identify areas for automation and process improvements.Job Requirements:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience in a complex, multinational AP environment. Previous leadership or mentoring experience is highly valued.Strong command of English – written and spoken – as our corporate language is English.Experience working with ERP systems is essential; NetSuite or Oracle-based platforms preferred.Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with a strong commitment to process improvement and cross-functional collaboration.Detail-oriented and self-driven with the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.If you’re excited about this role but don’t meet every requirement, we encourage you to apply anyway.
