You will join the Chief Technology Office (CTO), which is the key enabler of NATO’s digital transformation. With the NCIA’s architects and engineers, CTO is the hub for architecting and designing NATO’s ICT technical landscape while driving innovation, standardization, and coherence across the Alliance.We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Senior Architect (Cloud) who will take on the following roles and responsibilities: Lead the creation and review of a Cloud capability strategy that meets the strategic requirements of the business. Contribute to creating and reviewing enterprise-wide cloud architecture and processes which ensure that the strategic application of change is embedded in the management of the organisation, ensuring the buy-in of all key stakeholders. Set cloud strategies, policies, standards and practices to ensure compliance between business strategies, technology strategies, and enterprise transformation activities. Develop and execute a comprehensive cloud adoption strategy that aligns with the organization's business objectives and goals. Contribute to the migration of on-premises applications and infrastructure to the cloud, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. Support the selection of cloud service providers that meet the organization's requirements for security, compliance, performance, and cost-effectiveness. Develop and implement cloud governance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.For a full list of duties, please review the job description on the NCI Agency career site.About you:The valuable knowledge and experience that you bring to this role are: A Bachelor’s degree at a nationally recognized/certified University in a related discipline and 3 years post-related experience. Or exceptionally, the lack of a university degree may be compensated at least 10 years extensive and progressive expertise in duties related to the function of the post. Extensive experience leading the creation and review of cloud IT services, systems, architectures and roadmaps for large organizations; Proven ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing, with good briefing skills. Extensive experience leading impact analysis on major ICT design options, assessment of associated implementation, life-cycle support and security risks. Extensive experience leading identification of new and emerging technologies, and evaluate the potential impacts, threats and opportunities. Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, architectures, and technologies, including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS). Experience with cloud service providers such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including knowledge of their respective offerings, pricing models, and service level agreements (SLAs).
