In this role, you will work closely with our customers to assess, investigate, and make decisions relevant to building disputes, claims, licensing and unlicensed building works. Known as Australia's favourite playground, the Gold Coast combines golden beaches, ancient rainforests, thrilling theme parks, and an exciting dining and cultural scene.Key Outcomes And AccountabilitiesAs the Senior Assessement Officer, you will: Assess, investigate, and make decisions within delegated authority across all relevant QBCC programs of work particularly:Building Disputes (post completion disputes, early dispute resolution);Home Warranty Insurance Claims; (Claim assessments, approvals and declinatures in accordance with relevant legislation and insurance policy conditions)Licensing Services (Licensing advice, licence renewals, building, trade contractor, service trade and owner builder applications);Be a key point of escalation for cases/matters deemed contentious, sensitive or complex in nature. Provide leadership, training, guidance and mentoring to team members to improve capability.
