Senior Business Analyst

Beacon Systems is seeking a Senior Business Analyst for a 12-month contract-to-hire opportunity based in Portland, OR. This role requires a minimum on-site presence two days per week, so candidates must be local to the area.The ideal candidate will be an experienced business analyst with deep knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and related applications such as Ariba, Fieldglass, and SuccessFactors. They should have proven expertise in leading complex projects, gathering and managing business requirements, and designing future-state processes. Strong skills in documentation, stakeholder engagement, and business process re-engineering are essential. Key ResponsibilitiesUnderstanding of SAP S4/Hana and related applications (i.e. Ariba, Fieldglass, SuccessFactors, etc.)Lead business analysis efforts on large, complex, strategic effortsIdentify and document project requirements through various methods, including interviews, workshops, surveys, document analysis, etc.Manage, validate and prioritize business requirementsIdentify and document existing processes and use casesDesign future-state processes and obtain necessary approvalsDocument functional and technical specifications and obtain necessary approvalsConduct analyses to define alternative approaches to satisfy requirementsRecommend additional templates or tools as neededMay participate in other duties such as documenting test plans, scripts, and conducting system testing and assist in user acceptance test planning and testingRecommend tools, templates, and best practices as appropriateMay lead other business analysts as part of a programLead re-engineering of business processes and identifies solutions to business problemsSkills and QualificationsThorough knowledge of requirements development and management, business process documentation and design, as well as methods and techniques to elicit inputs from various stakeholders at all levels of the organizationDemonstrated ability to build trust with executives, management, project teams, and stakeholdersDemonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environmentMaster's degree in business, technology, or related field preferred or an equivalent of education and experience7+ years of experience conducting/leading business analysis efforts
