OrganizationRobin Radar Systems, currently headquartered in The Hague, is a leading and fast-growing technology company specialised in the detection and classification of small flying objects, such as birds and drones, in challenging environments. Founded in 2010 as a spin-off from TNO (the Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research). As of August 2026 the company will move its offices to Delft.Robin Radar Systems develops advanced radar solutions that combine purpose-built hardware with proprietary software. Their solutions, including the IRIS®, and MAX® radar systems, provide 360-degree, 3D coverage and are used in various critical industries including defense, security, civil and military aviation, and wind farms. These systems help prevent bird strikes, monitor wildlife, and detect drones, thereby enhancing safety for both humans and wildlife.In October 2024, Dutch investment company Parcom announced the acquisition of Robin Radar Systems to support its global expansion and innovation efforts. The company will further invest in the development of new radar solutions to meet the changing needs within the sector. In addition to product development, Robin Radar will focus on increasing its sales and services rollout in the rapidly growing defense and civil market segments, including in North America.To facilitate joint growth, Robin Radar and Parcom will drive an ambitious scale-up strategy, expanding the organisation and increasing assembly outsourcing. This strategy is driven by a clear long-term ambition: to become a unicorn company by combining cutting-edge technology, market leadership in radar innovation, and a strong global footprint.The job profileThis is a unique opportunity for an ambitious Senior Business Controller to join Robin Radar Systems at a pivotal moment in its growth journey. We are looking for someone who is eager to build and professionalize the business control function in a fast-scaling, technology-driven, and international environment.In this role, you will be a key player in further professionalizing the company’s financial backbone. You help design and implement the right structures, processes, and reporting tools to enable sustainable growth and support data-driven decision-making. With a deep understanding of financial performance, value drivers, and KPIs, you ensure that the business has clear and actionable insights to guide its next phase of expansion.Beyond the numbers, you act as a trusted sparring partner to the CFO, leadership team, and department heads. You proactively translate financial data into strategic advice and support initiatives around pricing, margin optimization, investments, and scaling the business model. You will be instrumental in embedding a performance-oriented culture where financial insights are at the heart of decision-making.With a pragmatic, collaborative, and hands-on style, you work closely with all parts of the organization — from commercial and product to operations, engineering, and support functions — to ensure finance is deeply embedded and broadly embraced across the business. By building strong partnerships and speaking the language of each discipline, you help make financial thinking a shared responsibility and a key driver of Robin Radar’s international growth ambitions."Robin Radar and Parcom will scale ambitiously, expanding the organisation and outsourcing assembly, aiming to become a unicorn through cutting-edge technology, radar market leadership, and a strong global presence."The ideal candidateAs a Senior Business Controller at Robin Radar Systems, you play a pivotal role in a fast-scaling, innovation-driven company operating at the intersection of advanced hardware and intelligent software. You act as the vital link between Finance and the rest of the organization and help transform finance into a true business partner that drives decision-making and growth.You are self-starting, entrepreneurial, and socially skilled – someone who takes ownership, builds new processes from the ground up, and enjoys challenging the status quo. Working closely with various departments – from R&D and operations to sales and project management – you bring people along in understanding the value of finance and data-driven steering.A key part of your role will be to develop KPI dashboards, further advance BI tooling, and build a strong business control environment that supports the ambitions of a private-equity-backed growth company. You have experience working in fast-scaling businesses and understand what it takes to professionalize financial processes, systems, and tooling to support rapid growth. You understand how value is created in such a context and can translate that into actionable financial insights.What You Bring:A Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field, ideally complemented by a post-master qualification (e.g. RA, RC, CPA, CMA)Relevant experience in professionalizing the business control function in a fast-growing organization. Preferably with a background at a Big 4 firm • Strong analytical skills and experience with data-driven decision-makingAffinity and experience with ERP systems and BI-toolingA proactive, entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to build and professionalize finance processes in a fast-growing environmentExcellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
