We are always striving to be better.Purpose Of The RoleTo focus on delivering our strategic sourcing objectives to double the business over the next 7 years through constant focus on our customers and products. Constantly support our sales teams to develop and provide support and mentoring to them as well as new starters to realize success for them and the businessKey Accountabilities & ResponsibilitiesFinancials– Sales & MarginsDevelop and grow sales within our existing supply base and identify new suppliers and regions of supply in line with strategy and budget Management of margin in line with our sales growth plansNegotiate annual JBP,LTA and other agreements with suppliersNegotiate event,seasonal,weekly, monthly and annual raw material prices Annual budgeting responsibility in line with company objectivesDraft competitive tenders to win new and maintain existing business whilst giving full consideration to profitabilityPrice and deliver seasonal programs for our customersProductInput into the development of market leading and differentiated ranges through our NPD processCoordinate our weekly buying requirementsInput into the development ranges for the big 4 seasonal events – Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, & EasterCoordinate and arrange event buying requirements with our internal buying teams and our suppliersDetailed raw material departure plans by event, by day and by supplierContinually benchmark our offering versus the market in product range, price and competitivenessContinuously review category performances and host weekly category meetingsSupply ChainWork with key National and International suppliers both existing and potentialWork on a consolidation model to optimise our supply chain from the Netherlands to IrelandGrower visits and quality checksCoordinate event production requirements in the Netherlands on key lines for key eventsDevelop more direct sources of supply / Open new lines of supply to reduce our cost baseNegotiate our annual contracts around our volume lines including but not limited to chrysanthemums, lilies and mini gerberas.PeopleConduct regular reviews with the team and ensure we are continuously developing their capabilityLiaise with all department heads on day to day issues as well as our strategic objectives Lead in supplier and customer meetings and presentationsCore Competencies Strong financial acumen Ability to communicate well with all stakeholders Excellent knowledge of excel and concise detail required Ability to work on own initiativeAbility to analyse and report accurate information Good organizational and problem solving skills. Ability to work in a team environment and take on additional ad hoc tasks as and when required. Flexibility around business peaks.
