Job OverviewThe Senior Commercial (Tender) Executive plays a key role in managing the end-to-end tendering and pre-contract process for MEP and data centre projects. This role supports commercial strategy, coordinates tender documentation, evaluates subcontractor proposals, and ensures timely, accurate, and competitive tender submissions.The position requires strong commercial acumen, attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with technical, procurement, and management teams.⸻Key Responsibilities1. Tender Coordination & Administration • Coordinate the entire tender process including documentation review, tender queries, submissions, and bid schedules. • Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and contractual requirements to identify key commercial risks and obligations. • Prepare tender checklists, compliance schedules, and submission trackers.2. Costing & Commercial Support • Work with Estimators and Solution Engineers to compile cost breakdowns, pricing schedules, and commercial summaries. • Assist in preparing budgetary proposals, cost comparisons, and cost assumptions. • Support value engineering exercises by preparing cost impact evaluations.3. Subcontractor & Supplier Management • Source, obtain, and evaluate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers. • Ensure quotes are complete, compliant, and aligned with tender requirements. • Assist in preliminary negotiations and commercial clarifications with vendors.4. Documentation, Clarifications & Compliance • Prepare tender clarifications, commercial responses, and documentation required for submission. • Ensure all documents follow client formats, compliance requirements, and submission instructions. • Assist in drafting contractual qualifications and commercial deviations.5. Internal Coordination & Reporting • Work closely with engineering, procurement, finance, and planning teams to gather inputs. • Maintain tender folders, document control, and version tracking. • Prepare internal reports: tender status, risk registers, costing summaries, and handover documents.6. Post-Tender Activities • Support management during tender interviews, negotiations, and client meetings. • Assist in preparing revised pricing, clarifications, and technical-commercial reconciliations. • Ensure smooth handover of awarded projects to the execution teams.⸻Qualifications & ExperienceEducation • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Business, Engineering, or related field.Experience • 3–6 years of experience in tendering, commercial, or pre-contract roles within MEP, construction, or data centre projects. • Strong understanding of tender processes, contracts, and commercial terms.⸻Key Skills • Strong commercial understanding of MEP works, subcontractor scopes, and project costing. • Competent in reviewing drawings, BOQs, and tender correspondence. • Excellent coordination, communication, and analytical skills. • High proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and basic measurement tools. • Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to work under tight deadlines. • Good negotiation and vendor management skills
