Senior Cost Estimator

Responsibilities:Deliver thorough, independent and complete cost estimation for the tenders.Collect all relevant / needed information from the production engineer, designing engineer, Tender manager, and /or from site visits.Process all gathered data into clear optimal budgets and cost estimates including a planning and work sequencing.Regular consult with colleagues, from the commercial department and the project manager about cost.Come up with creative and innovative ideas / alternatives in order ensure a competitive cost estimation and efficient work plan.Assess proposal, prices of sub-contractors and suppliers.Ensure gathered data and budget information is maintained and knowledge is transferred to project management and commercial department.Assist in preparing tender / quotation documents for tendering purposes.Ensure maintenance of database which contains prices / quotes from sub-contractors.Closely collaborate with production engineer, colleagues from the commercial department and tender manager.Study and analyse of Bids / Tenders technically and commercially, write scope clarification.Identify Risks, opportunities & assumptions made within the cost estimates.Technical skills with thorough knowledge of estimation principals.Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering in a related discipline, or equivalentMinimum 08 years of related work experience in similar industriesPreferably with dredging and marine industry background
