For BASF the EMEA region is our most important market.What You Can ExpectThe role of Senior Country Regulatory Affairs Specialist involves preparing and submitting high quality dossiers for business innovation, while ensuring effective lifecycle management of existing products to maintain business continuity. You will collaborate cross-functionally with various business units to drive alignment and integration across operations, as well as represent BASF in external forums and actively maintain strong, strategic relationships with key stakeholders, including regulatory authorities and industry bodies.Duties will include the following:Demonstrate a thorough understanding of Act 36 of 1947 and related regulatory guidelines for the submission of high impact dossiers to the Department of Agriculture. Conduct qualitative assessment of endpoints from Risk Assessments to ensure alignment with the South African regulatory requirements. Apply strong technical expertise in field trials, analyse residue data and prepare comprehensive residue summaries for dossier submissions. Guide field teams with regards to the requirements for registrations. Manage label development and ensure full compliancy according to the South African regulations. Ensure cross-functional collaboration with internal business stakeholders to drive business integration and regulatory alignment. Build and maintain a strong relationship with external stakeholders such as the Department of Agri-culture, CropLife and other scientific bodies. Manage lifecycle of existing registrations including management of changes and renewals. Maintain accurate and transparent internal data systems and filing processes. Actively participate in CropLife working groups as a BASF representative, contributing constructive solutions to shape the agricultural regulatory landscape in South Africa. Guide stewardship and compliance related activities within the country.
