Job Description

Remote Senior Data Engineer Skills & Experience:Roles and ResponsibilitiesIntegrate, transform, and consolidate operational data to support a new analytics solution.Develop, manage, and improve scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Microsoft Fabric and Azure services.Ensure reliable and consistent data ingestion and integration from multiple source systems.Build and maintain data models, semantic layers, and visualizations using Fabric and Power BI.Manage Power BI workspaces, reports, deployments, and environment configurations.Troubleshoot production data ingestion, transformation, and workload issues while ensuring data quality.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance data analytics capabilities and support ongoing solution development.Provide insights and recommendations for innovative, cost-effective improvements that add customer value.Maintain clear and accurate internal documentation.Communicate technical topics effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Optionally participate in on-call rotations later in the project lifecycle (approximately one week every three weeks).Stay proactive in learning and adapting to evolving data engineering tools and best practices.Job RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related field.5+ years of professional Data Engineer experience, with at least 2–3 years working in Azure or equivalent cloud data platforms.Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and Azure, or comparable tools such as Azure Synapse, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, data lake/warehouse concepts.Experience managing and supporting production-level data workloads.Comfortable using Fabric Git integrations and deployment pipelines.Experience creating, managing, and maintaining Power BI workspaces, semantic models, notebooks, and reports.Strong experience with data pipelines, workflow orchestration, and Fabric-based data workflows.Proficiency with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle).Strong SQL skills, including stored procedures, performance optimization, and analytical queries.Experience with scripting languages such as Python, R, PySpark, etc.Experience performing ETL/ELT activities with structured and unstructured data.Knowledge of designing and building Lakehouse environments, including medallion architecture.Experience building dashboards, reports, and data visualizations in Power BI.Experience with Crystal Reports (nice-to-have).Ability to be on-call if required near production release.Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Enjoys teamwork, knowledge sharing, and building transparent working relationships.Proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.EAM experience is a nice-to-have but not required; strong data engineering fundamentals are more important than deep Fabric expertise.What We Offer100% Remote Work, Hiring from: North Macedonia, Albania, Bosnia, Kosovo, Brazil and Pakistan.Paid Overtime as neededOpportunities for personal growth and development through ongoing training and mentorship.Opportunity To Learn & Develop New SkillsAn Open & Collaborative Work EnvironmentGenerous Compensation based on Industry Standards + BenefitsWorking Hours: 9am - 5pm ESTPath to career advancement for those who excel in their role and demonstrate a strong willingness to learn
