Senior Data Engineer

A Tel Aviv–based FinTech startup transforming the way companies manage their financial operations is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead the design and development of the data infrastructure behind our next-generation platform. This is a high-impact, hands-on position where you will shape scalable data systems, enhance key integrations, and ensure real-time insights and intelligent automation in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.Responsibilities:Architect, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines for batch and real-time ingestion, forming the backbone of our data ecosystem.Design and improve integrations with external financial systems, including major banks, ERP platforms, and payment processors.Work closely with product and engineering teams to translate business requirements into data-driven solutions that create meaningful user impact.Promote best practices around data quality, testing, monitoring, and performance to ensure a reliable and efficient data platform.Requirements:5+ years of proven experience in Python development and strong SQL skills for advanced data modeling and query optimization.Extensive background in real-time and batch ingestion methods, API integrations, and secure authentication protocols.Proficiency with modern ETL/ELT tools and orchestration frameworks such as Meltano, Airflow, and dbt.Solid understanding and hands-on experience with event-driven architectures and streaming technologies (e.g., Pub/Sub, Kafka).Strong analytical mindset with enthusiasm for turning raw data into actionable insights.Passion for leveraging cutting-edge AI tools to enhance development workflows and drive innovation.
