Senior Data Scientist

Looking for a contractor to fill a role with a major US retail healthcare provider. 60% of our past contractors placed have lead to full time employment positions on an internal data science team.High hourly rate!! Fully Remote! 40 hours a week, 9am-5pm EST. 2 month contract with strong possibility for contract extension into next year based on performance and business need. This is a non C2C position.We’re seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Scientist on a contract basis.  This role is focused on developing and deploying Generative AI models, with an emphasis on Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative Tech Agents. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to contribute to advanced GenAI systems in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.  Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and fine-tune Large Language Models (LLMs) and related generative architectures Build and iterate on Generative Tech Agents, including autonomous systems capable of reasoning, tool use, and multi-step task executionOptimize LLM and agent performance with a focus on efficiency, reliability, safety, and alignmentApply deep learning techniques to generate synthetic contentOptimize models for quality, efficiency, safety, and real-world performanceConduct exploratory data analysis and present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersContribute to the advancement of autonomous agents powered by generative modelsRequired Skills & Qualifications3+ years of experience in data science or machine learning rolesAdvanced proficiency in Python and ML libraries (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch)Demonstrated experience working with autonomous agents or GenAI-powered agents Proven track record deploying or fine-tuning LLMs or generative models in production settingsStrong skills in evaluating generative model outputs for quality, performance, and biasAbility to work independently and manage project deliverables in a remote settingPreferred QualificationsExperience working with multimodal AI (e.g., text + image or text + video models)Familiarity with advanced GenAI techniques such as control nets, prompt tuning, or diffusion pipelinesBackground in AI research, LLM optimization, or generative modeling innovation
