They have a superb record in the design of sustainable concepts across all sectors of the building industry, with this being assisted by the latest building simulation software.They are currently hiring a Senior Design Engineer to join their expanding team, which is facilitated by their relocation to a new, bespoke office in the heart of Dublin.Your New RoleIn your new role as Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you will be working on their Data Centre projects across Ireland and Europe. You are expected to have a detailed understanding of electrical engineering and design fundamentals and core principles, as well as be self-assured to work independently and in support of your wider team.Your responsibilities include:Lead the Electrical Services design for a range of projectsDesign and specification of electrical services for various types of buildings and sectorsProduce detailed schematicsDevelop the electrical design standards within the organisationMentor junior engineering staffProvide fully detailed tender packages and monitor installation/quality on site until project completionTender report/analysis/recommendationsDevelop project scope with the design team/clientConfidently use Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Dialux, Amtech, and REVITProduce budgets and reports for clientsAttend site visitsTake the lead on projects with minimal input from the management teamWhat You Need to SucceedHonours Degree - Chartered an advantage but not essential10+ years of experience as an EngineerElectrical building services design experience within Data Centre engineering projectsIn-depth knowledge of electrical design and engineering techniquesDeep knowledge of ETCI, CIBSE, IEC, BS, IS and EN StandardsWorking knowledge of AutoCAD, Dialux, Amtech, and REVIT is an advantage.Confident leading projects from the concept stage to completionCommunicative and able to liaise with clients, architects, and project managersManage the specification and design of Electrical Building Services systems for a range of projectsExcellent Microsoft Office skillsWhat You Get in ReturnFlexible working times20 days annual leave, rising up to 25 daysPension contributionsExpensed working travelTravel tax scheme or bike-to-work schemeRegular training / mentoring / further college supportSupport for ChartershipSubsidised Health Insurance AllowancePaid Statutory LeavesHealthcare check-ups and flu vaccinationsGym / Fitness membershipHays Ireland is a trading division of Hays Specialist Recruitment (Ireland) Limited and acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
