This position is based in Tampere, Finland with an established hybrid working environment.About the RoleWe are seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join our fast-moving development team. You will architect and build the core software foundation powering our GNSS product — from real-time firmware and hardware drivers to communication stacks and system integration. You’ll also play a key role in board bring-up and hardware validation, ensuring seamless hardware–software integration. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a startup environment, where you’ll have the chance to shape both technology and culture.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement embedded software in C/C++ and the required tools in Python.Develop and optimize software for ARM and RISC-V processors, interfacing with UART, USB, SPI, I²C, and SD Card peripherals.Lead hardware board bring-up and validation of new designs.Build and maintain software on bare metal and RTOS platforms (FreeRTOS, Zephyr).Contribute to system architecture and participate in design/code reviews.Champion modern practices: CI/CD, automated testing, documentation, AI developer tooling and flows.Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware, QA, and product teams.Drive innovation in tools, processes, and embedded development methodologies.Required Qualification5+ years of professional experience in embedded software development.Strong expertise in C/C++ for embedded systems.
