Job DescriptionEmbark on a journey within MCB’s dynamic Commodity Trade Finance business, a fast-growing area within the Bank. To support this growth, we are seeking a Commodity Trade Finance Operations Lead and an Operations Associate. As part of a highly collaborative team, you will be primarily responsible for transaction monitoring and supporting commercial development, working closely with the Relationship Manager to ensure alignment with the framework of approved credit lines.We Are On The Lookout ForJob vacancies: Senior FI-Commodity Trade Finance Operations LeadYour responsibility will be to ensure the integrity and excellence of Financial Institution–Commodity Trade Finance Operations (FI-CTFO) by combining deep technical expertise with strong leadership. You’ll oversee complex transactions, guide and mentor junior team members, and drive strategic initiatives that enhance quality, compliance, and innovation. Collaborating closely with the Financial Institutions Group (FIG), international offices, and CTF Coverage teams, you’ll play a pivotal role in aligning global efforts and delivering seamless, client-focused solutions across geographies.Main Key ResponsibilitiesOversee and validate (Lead end-to-end execution) FI–CTF transactions;LC Confirmation, Risk distributions via FI partnerships, Funded participations combining CTF origination with FI distributionMarket access solutions using FI relationships for CTF clientsPerform detailed risk and mitigant assessment; ensure alignment with credit decisions, compliance standards utilizing both CTF expertise and FI networks;Conduct/drive detailed risk and mitigant assessments/advanced due diligence, document verification, and counterparty assessments;Support the Team Leader in executing strategic plans and operational frameworks;Implement comprehensive risk framework covering: Counterparty/country/operational risk;Mentor Leads and Associates, fostering skill development and operational consistency;Monitor trade exposures, credit utilization and early warning indicators, identify proactively transactions/execution risks and manage remediation;Engage with stakeholders to ensure alignment and seamless execution and issue resolution;Prepare strategic reports and insights for senior stakeholders;Promote best practices and continuous improvement across all FI–CTF activities.To succeed, you will be required to demonstrate the following competencies:Good analytical skills with an ability to understand the transactional risks;Rebounding from setbacks and adversity when facing difficult situations;Consistently achieving results, even under tough circumstances;Plans and prioritizes work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals.We are looking for a candidate who has a minimum of:EITHERA Bachelor's Degree;7 years' working experience in Commodity Trade Finance/Financial Institution field.OR10 years’ working experience in Commodity Trade Finance/Financial Institution field.A combination of both qualification & experience will be considered.Should this opportunity match your career aspirations, skills and competencies, click on ‘Apply’ to complete your online application.Please ensure all required information is accurately entered in relevant sections.
