This role is instrumental in driving franchise success by managing complex accounting processes and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial records, while also mentoring junior accounting staff and contributing to a culture of excellence.What You'll Be Cooking UpAccounting & Financial ReportingOversee and process complex accounting transactions across the organization.Prepare accurate balance sheet reconciliations and support the preparation of financial statements.Ensure full compliance with IFRS, statutory requirements, and internal accounting policies.Month-End and Year-End CloseLead month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate completion.Manage reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries in alignment with reporting deadlines.Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements and audit schedules.Compliance & Statutory ObligationsEnsure timely submission of VAT, franchise fees, and other statutory accounting requirements.Support audit processes by preparing required schedules and liaising with external auditors.Identify opportunities for improvement in internal controls and accounting procedures and implement enhancements.Team Support & DevelopmentMentor and provide guidance to Junior Accountants and Accountants.Review work performed by team members to ensure accuracy and adherence to financial policies.Contribute to process documentation and promote knowledge sharing within the Financial Accounting team.Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable SupportProvide support to AP and AR teams, including general ledger allocations, remittance reallocations, and coding corrections.Systems & Reporting (Business Central)Assist with system maintenance and updates within Business Central.Leverage system capabilities to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.Prior experience with Business Central is highly advantageous.Ad-Hoc Analysis & ProjectsSupport the Financial Accounting Lead with financial analysis, special projects, and system implementations.Collaborate with the Commercial Accounting Team to ensure seamless financial operations and reporting alignment.What You'll Bring To The TableBachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.Professional qualification (e.g., CA(SA), ACCA, CIMA) preferred.Minimum 5 years’ experience in financial accounting, ideally in a senior capacity.Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting.Proficiency in accounting systems and advanced Excel skills.Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership abilities.Ability to manage high volumes of transactions in a fast-paced environment.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and business units.Prior experience in a multi-unit or multi-entity business environment is advantageous.Proficiency in accounting systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central) and advanced Excel skills.Why You'll Love It HereCompetitive salary and bonuses.Comprehensive benefits.Collaborative, inclusive, and flexible work environment.Ready to make an impact?
