Job TitlesOracle Fusion Cloud Financials – Senior Functional Consultant Role SummaryThe Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials Functional Consultant is responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting Oracle Fusion Financials modules, ensuring alignment with business processes, statutory requirements, and Oracle best practices. The role involves end-to-end solution design, stakeholder engagement, functional leadership, and support across the implementation lifecycle. Key ResponsibilitiesFunctional Implementation & Solution DesignLead functional design and configuration of Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials modules including:General Ledger (GL)Accounts Payable (AP)Accounts Receivable (AR)Cash Management (CM)Fixed Assets (FA)Expense ManagementConduct fit-gap analysis and propose standard, scalable solutions.Configure Chart of Accounts, Ledgers, Legal Entities, Business Units, and accounting rules.Define subledger accounting (SLA) and financial controls. Business Process & Stakeholder EngagementWork closely with Finance, Procurement, Tax, and Audit teams to understand requirements.Translate business needs into functional specifications and solution designs.Conduct CRP, UAT, and end-user training sessions.Provide functional guidance to business users and project stakeholders. Integrations & Data ManagementDefine functional requirements for integrations with:ProcurementHR / PayrollBanks and third-party systemsLegacy ERPsSupport data migration activities, including:Opening balancesSuppliers, customers, and assetsValidate reconciliation and financial accuracy post-migration. Reporting, Compliance & ControlsConfigure financial and statutory reporting using:Oracle OTBIFinancial Reporting Studio (FRS)Ensure compliance with:IFRS / GAAPLocal statutory and tax regulationsInternal controls and audit requirementsSupport period close, reconciliation, and audit activities. Support & Continuous ImprovementProvide post-go-live support and issue resolution.Analyze defects and recommend process improvements.Support Oracle quarterly updates and regression testing.Maintain solution documentation and knowledge transfer. Required Skills & ExperienceFunctional & Domain SkillsStrong hands-on experience in Oracle Fusion Cloud FinancialsSolid understanding of end-to-end Record-to-Report (R2R) processesExperience with multi-ledger, multi-currency, and multi-entity environmentsKnowledge of financial controls, approvals, and SoD Technical & Tool KnowledgeOracle Fusion Setup & MaintenanceSubledger Accounting (SLA)OTBI and Financial Reporting StudioBasic understanding of integrations (REST/SOAP, FBDI) Soft SkillsStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to lead workshops and explain complex concepts simplyAnalytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilityExperience working in agile or waterfall ERP implementations QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or ITOracle Fusion Cloud Financials certification (preferred)CA / CPA / CMA qualification (advantage) Experience Level (Typical)Senior Consultant: 7+ years Nice to HaveExperience in regulated industries (Healthcare, Banking, Insurance, Government)Exposure to Oracle Fusion Procurement
