Globally Minded.Locally Engaged.Connected by You.Bring your unique perspectives and experiences to the position and be part of the global team that contributes to connecting Queensland to the world.Trade and Investment Queensland (TIQ) is the Queensland Government's dedicated global business agency.What we do is truly unique -we elevate Queensland on a global scale, and we're doing it one business and one person at a time.Our work is varied and complex.Join us and be part of building something bigger!Situated within the Corporate Services (Finance Division), the Grants Team plays a key role in supporting Queensland exporters by providing financial assistance to develop new export markets.As the Senior Grants Management Officer, you will play a key role in enabling TIQ to deliver grant programs to assist Queensland exporters. You will be involved in all aspects of grants management from helping to develop and deliver programs through to assessment moderation, approval briefs and reporting, issuing contracts, vendor creation, processing payments and acquittal management. Our ideal candidate To be successful in this role, you will need to be able to demonstrate the following:Demonstrated experience in administering grant programs within a legislative and compliance framework, including assessment processes, acquittals, and financial reconciliation. Experience with SmartyGrants would be highly beneficial.Ability to conduct evaluations and prepare high level analysis reports using systems such as SmartyGrants to inform effective decision making.Financial acumen with the ability to understand financial data, undertake reconciliations and have strong attention to detail.Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage ambiguity and be pro-active and flexible when managing multiple conflicting priorities.Effective communication (written and verbal), strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with internal and external clients and stakeholders in a friendly, professional manner What's in it for you?
