If you're a detail-driven professional with a passion for regulatory excellence, we want to hear from you.Some Of Your Responsibilities Will Include Contribute to the development and implementation of compliance policies,procedures and standards to achieve successful compliance outcomes for MSQ consistent with our compliance strategies. Support MSQ's regional staff to plan, implement and deliver compliance activities across the State and provide expert advice and assistance to regional staff to ensure consistency of investigations and compliance outcomes. Review and manage investigations conducted by MSQ Officers or other enforcement agencies to ensure completeness, appropriate regulatory response and outcomes, including conducting comprehensive investigations into possible breaches of Maritime legislation, including the gathering of evidence, taking statements and conducting records of interview, and compiling briefs of evidence. Provide comprehensive reports to the Manager Compliance concerning alleged offences against the Maritime legislation and make recommendations as to appropriate enforcement action and support the Manager Compliance with case management and policy development tasks. Establish effective relations with MSQ's regional staff, enforcement partners, community members, government agencies and other organisations ensuring that MSQ's role as a regulator within the context of MSQ's compliance strategy is promoted.Requirements Of The Role Demonstrated experience conducting complex investigations into breaches of legislation and preparation of reports and briefs of evidence. Ability to develop and maintain relationships within a small team, including with regional staff and partner agencies to deliver successful compliance outcomes for MSQ. High level written and oral communication skills and the demonstrated ability to tailor communication style to a range of internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrate the highest level of Integrity and ethical conduct in performance of your role.Desirable Qualifications And Conditions A certificate 4 in Government Investigation or degree qualification and extensive experience in undertaking criminal investigations including the collection of evidence and giving oral evidence for indictable offences before Magistrates and District Courts. Intra-state and interstate travel. Occasional overnight absences from headquarters including weekends and public holidays. An open class driver licence.
