You will take technical ownership of projects, mentor other engineers, and collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver robust, scalable, and delightful mobile experiences. You will help shape our engineering culture, drive architectural decisions, and ensure our apps meet the highest standards of performance, security, and usability.IF YOU JOIN US, YOU WILL:Take technical ownership of iOS projects, setting standards for code quality, architecture, and best practicesDesign, build, and maintain advanced iOS applications using Swift (and Objective-C where relevant), ensuring scalability, maintainability, and reliabilityLead technical discussions, code reviews, and architectural decisions for iOS productsCollaborate with product managers, designers, and backend teams to define, design, and ship impactful new featuresDrive the adoption of best practices in testing (unit, integration, UI), automation, and continuous integrationEnsure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications across a wide range of iOS devices and OS versionsTroubleshoot, debug, and optimize app performance, proactively identifying and resolving bottlenecks and bugsStay up-to-date with the latest iOS trends, libraries, and technologies, and evaluate their potential for our productsMentor and support junior engineers, sharing knowledge and promoting best practicesFoster a culture of ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement within the teamRequirementsThe skills you will bring:4+ years of professional experience developing and maintaining high-quality iOS applications, with at least one app published on the App StoreDeep technical expertise in Swift (and Objective-C), iOS SDK, and modern iOS architecture components (e.g., SwiftUI, Combine, Core Data, MVVM)Demonstrated experience leading technical projects, making architectural decisions, and mentoring other engineersStrong understanding of iOS UI/UX design principles, Human Interface Guidelines, and best practices for building responsive, accessible, and visually appealing appsExperience integrating with RESTful APIs, handling offline storage, concurrency, and performance tuningExperience with Android (Kotlin, Kotlin multiplatform) and/or React Native is a strong plusFamiliarity with testing frameworks (Maestro), CI/CD pipelines, and version control (Git)Knowledge of software design patterns, scalable architecture, and security best practices for mobile appsExperience working in agile teams and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholdersExcellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skillsPassion for learning, sharing knowledge, and mentoring othersA mindset aligned with our values of amazement, heart, and resultsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experienceFluency in English; Dutch is a plusBenefitsWhy November Five?Because the work matters.
