Recruiter:SHE RecruitsJob Ref:CPT001069/CLDate posted:Saturday, November 15, 2025Location:Johannesburg, South AfricaSalary:R550 000 AnnuallySUMMARY:My client, a group operating across Africa, is seeking an experienced Senior IT Coordinator to join their Head Office in Gauteng.You will be the gatekeeper of all things tech within the organisation, ensuring everything runs smoothly from servers to networks, cloud systems to data governance, while also leading strategic IT upgrades to keep the business ahead of the curve.This is a full day onsite / in-office position.POSITION INFO:Qualifications, Skills and Experience required:Minimum of 3-5 years as a Senior Technican / Desktop Support / IT Coordinator with experience across multiple sites.Relevant degree or diploma in IT or Computer Science.Africa experience is a huge plus!Tech Mastery: Deep technical knowledge in network administration, server management, security protocols, cloud computing, and data center management.Problem-Solving Skills: You thrive on diagnosing and resolving complex issues with a methodical approach.Leadership: Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to guide teams, manage IT projects, and collaborate with stakeholders across the business.Project Management: Solid experience planning and executing IT projects, ensuring deadlines are met, and systems are upgraded seamlessly.Tech Stack Proficiency: Hands-on experience with networking, server management, cloud systems, and data governance.Communication: Excellent communication skills to convey technical information clearly and effectively to non-technical stakeholders.Duties and Responsibilities:Network Overlord: manage daily operations of the network infrastructure, servers, and systems—think maintenance, upgrades, backups, and a fully optimised IT asset list.Tech Budgeting Guru: take charge of the IT budget, forecast costs, and ensure efficient use of resources. It’s all about balancing performance and cost-effectiveness.Cyber Security Sentinel: implement and maintain robust security measures, ensuring data and systems are locked down tight. You will also make sure compliance with relevant regulations is top-notch.Project Lead: take the reins on IT projects, from system rollouts to upgrades and migrations. Be the project manager driving the process from A to Z.Tech Scout: research and evaluate the latest tech—whether hardware, software, or new systems—to ensure they are staying ahead.Troubleshooting Ninja: When things go wrong (and they do), be the one to quickly identify the root cause, fix the issue, and reduce downtime.
