With a global team of over 4,000 highly skilled developers, consultants, analysts and product owners, we engineer technology that redefines industries and shapes the way people live.About the role:As a Senior Software Engineer in our Logistics team, you will be instrumental in enhancing and consolidating our 3rd Party Logistics (3PL) services. You will be involved in the evolution of our current systems, focusing on creating a unified and efficient data flow for all 3PL communications. Your expertise will be crucial in designing, developing, and maintaining critical components that power our delivery operations and partner integrations.About Client:With almost 100 million active users across 25 countries, they’re a global food tech company. Their mission: to empower every food moment around the world, whether it’s through customer service, coding or couriers.Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain software solutions for our logistics integration platform, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliabilityContribute to the potential migration of our Legacy 3PL serviceArchitect and implement robust data pipelines using Kafka to establish a unified messaging system for all 3PL interactionsWork with existing messaging systems such as Kafka, SNS, and SQS, understanding their role in the current architecture and how they integrate with the future stateDesign and implement seamless integrations with internal APIs (e.g., Order-API, Restaurant-API, PartnerConnectAPI, Logistics Relay API) and external partner APIsDevelop and maintain both synchronous HTTP APIs and asynchronous event-driven integrationsCollaborate with product owners, other engineering teams, and external partners to define and implement data exchange contractsContribute to the development and enhancement of core logistics system components by contributing to other teams codebase if necessary (InnerSourcing)Work with databases to manage configurations and store relevant projectionsApply your understanding of event-driven architectures and microservices to build a scalable and maintainable platform (EDA and DDD)Implement and manage dynamic configurations and decision logic within the logistics systemsBring your understanding of 3PL operations, delivery processes, order status updates, and courier location tracking to the development processContribute to the understanding and utilization of logistics metrics (e.g., Workload, PrePurchaseEta, PostPurchaseETA) for dynamic decision-makingEnsure the quality and stability of your code through thorough testing and adherence to best practicesMentor and guide junior engineers within the teamRequirements:Strong experience in software development with a proven track record of building and deploying scalable applicationsSolid understanding and experience with JavaDeep understanding and practical experience with Kafka, including producers and consumersExperience with other messaging systems such as Kafka, SNS, and SQSProven ability to design and implement RESTful APIs and integrate with external APIsExperience with event-driven architectures and microservicesUnderstanding of database concepts and experience working with various database systemsStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsExcellent communication and collaboration skillsFluency in EnglishDesirable:Familiarity with Kafka Redpanda (former Benthos) or similar data processing toolsExperience with API design principles and best practicesUnderstanding of testing methodologies and frameworksKnowledge of the logistics domain, particularly 3PL operationsExperience working in an agile development environmentFamiliarity with dynamic configuration managementWhat`s in it for you?Growth environment: share your experience and level up your expertise with a community of skilled professionals, locally and globallyOwn your schedule – you are the one to decide when to start your working day.
