We’re a high-growth startup with bold ambitions for aggressive international expansion across multiple continents.To support our growth, we’re looking for one or more Legal Counsels who can move fast, think globally, and help lay the legal groundwork for an internationally scaling tech company. We already work with B2B and B2C customers on a global scale.If you are passionate about working across borders and eager to grow your career at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and law, this is your opportunity.If you are a more senior level attorney, this is your opportunity to move up the ranks quickly and build our legal department from ground up.WHAT YOU’LL DOWe are looking for 1-2 legal counsels, one senior and the other junior.Global Legal Support: Assist the CLO in advising leadership on a broad range of legal areas including cross-border commercial contracts, consumer issues, NDAs, regulatory and employment matters, and local counsel management in multiple countries.Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate NDAs, LOIs, customer agreements, joint development agreements, supply agreements, IP contracts, vendor contracts, partnership deals, and employment agreements — often involving international parties.Corporate Legal: Help manage corporate documentation related to the company structure, subsidiary management and options program/HR and assist in corporate transactions across all of the Verge group companies. Liaison with business teams to support their legal needs.Legal Data Management: Manage, create, and coordinate large repositories of legal documents and data, including our investor data room.Legal Risk Management; Legal Function: The senior level candidate would be involved in company-wide legal risk management and budgeting/building for the legal function.The other candidate should ideally be familiar with Finnish corporate laws to be able to assist with:Financings and Shareholder Issues: Assist and run with financing transactions, debt and equity investments, credit facilities, investment documentation, stockholders’ agreements, due diligence, stockholder relations, stock option plan administration, and related Finnish trade registry filings.WHO YOU ARELaw degree and license to practice law in Finland.4–10 years of post-qualification experience (in-house at a tech company or a top-tier law firm preferred).Solid grounding in commercial contracts and IP issues for technology companies, experience with international issues is a strong plus.Good organizational skills.Familiarity with cross-border regulatory environments is highly valued.Familiarity with legal AI tools or willingness to adopt them.Global mindset with the ability to navigate cultural and legal differences across regions.Adaptable, attentive to detail, and excited to work in a dynamic, fast-evolving international landscape.Strong verbal and written communication skills and a proactive, professional, can-do attitude.Team player, ability to get along with others.Fluent in English.Experience in our industry is a plus.WHAT WE OFFERA front-row seat in a high-growth, internationally expanding cutting-edge technology company.Close mentorship from the CLO and exposure to international deal-making and strategic projects.Potential for rapid career development as the company scales globally.Eligible for stock options.
