You will be part of the Finance Finland team in Nordea Bank Abp, the parent company of Nordea Group, based at the headquarters in Helsinki. You will contribute to developing and maintaining financial and tax principles, processes and insightful analyses to ensure consistent and high-quality reporting across Nordea Bank Abp and its branches in Nordics, UK, USA, China, Poland, and Estonia. These are the values that guide us in how we work and how we make decisions – and that we imagine you share with us.Main Responsibilities In This RoleManage direct tax accounting, reporting, and compliance for Nordea Bank Abp and its branches, including Corporate Income Tax, Withholding Tax, and other relevant frameworks.Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting closing tasks and preparation of the annual report as part of the wider team.Monitor and interpret local and international tax requirements, considering ECB/FSA requirements, FAS and IFRS principles, and convert changing demands into processes and reporting to ensure compliance with regulations.Coordinate and drive continuous improvements in financial reporting, accounting, and tax reporting frameworks.Participate in managing the framework for financial reporting and disclosures of Nordea Bank Abp, and collaborate closely with Nordic colleagues in local Finance units as part of the Parent Bank Finance unit.Who You AreTo succeed in this role, we hope you have:Strong understanding of both accounting and corporate taxation. This role is not limited to tax law expertise – we’re looking for a person who also brings solid accounting capabilities and can navigate both areas confidently.Master’s degree or similar academic qualifications with specialisation in tax and accounting and/or finance. Proven work experience in tax accounting and reporting in accordance with IFRS and FAS – experience in the finance industry is considered as an advantage.Strong analytical skills and the ability to grasp both the big picture and details, and initiative to find solutions that work group-wide.Passion for continuous improvement of frameworks and processes.Ownership and integrity, value collaboration, and possess a positive attitude and strong communication skills.Professional-level spoken and written English and Finnish is required.Experience with SAP/S/4 HANA, HFM, or similar tool is considered as an advantage, as well as experience with tax provisioning systems and tools.What We OfferPeople come here when they want to get somewhere.
