You will shape a program that connects students with authentic industry experiences, driving partnerships with local, national, and global sporting organisations, and creating pathways that prepare graduates to excel in high-performance sport, governance, event and facility management, and sport development. The role blends curriculum leadership, strategic industry engagement, and applied research, providing opportunities to contribute to globally relevant projects, supervise HDR students, and elevate UniSC’s impact on contemporary sport management. Above all, you are someone who contributes to a positive, collaborative, and ambitious academic environment, helping shape the future of your discipline and empower students to thrive.You Will PossessA doctoral qualification in Sport Management or a related business field with expertise in governance, events, tourism, sport development, policy, or related areas.Proven ability to design and lead student-centred, globally connected programs that inspire and prepare students for careers in sport, tourism, leisure, and events management.A strong commitment to student success through innovative, inclusive teaching, authentic industry experiences, and online or blended learning approaches.A track record of research excellence and scholarship, with high-quality publications and successful supervision of Higher Degree by Research students.Experience building and sustaining partnerships with national and international sporting organisations, federations, clubs, or mega-event committees to enhance learning, teaching, and research.We’d Also ValueHigher education teaching qualifications or Fellowship of AdvanceHE/Higher Education Academy.Leadership or professional experience in sport governance, event management, or international sporting organisations.Experience with mega sporting events and host cities, including planning, evaluation, or legacy projects.Ability to leverage global networks while collaborating with local and regional stakeholders to integrate UniSC and its students into Brisbane 2032 and other major initiatives.Knowledge of AI applications in business, sport, or decision-making, with the ability to integrate these into curriculum and research.UniSC is an equal opportunity employer, committed to diversity and inclusion.
