Senior Legal Officer

Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Legal Officer located in Phnom Penh. The Senior Legal Officer will be responsible for handling and advising on legal matters, preparing legal documents, providing legal consulting services, and ensuring compliance with contract law and business law. Daily tasks include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, advising on legal risks and regulatory compliance, and representing the company in legal proceedings.Legal Duties:Provide timely and accurate legal advice on matters including contracts, employment, compliance, litigation, intellectual property, and regulatory frameworks.Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents (contracts, MOUs, NDAs, partnership agreements).Ensure the organization’s compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.Liaise with external legal counsel and regulatory authorities as needed.Identify legal risks and propose effective mitigation strategies.Support corporate governance functions, including board matters and legal filings.Other Tasks related to the Legal Department assigned by the line manager.QualificationsProficient in Business Law and Contract LawExperienced in Legal Consulting and handling legal mattersSkilled in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting and reviewing legal documentsStrong knowledge of general Law and regulatory complianceExcellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a teamExceptional written and verbal communication skillsLaw degree or equivalent legal qualificationExperience in the legal industry or a corporate legal department is preferred
