Job DescriptionGlobal Functions Technology (GFT) is part of RBC's Technology and Operations division. Our clients represent Risk, Finance, HR, CAO, Audit, Legal, Compliance, Financial Crime, Capital Markets, Personal and Commercial Banking and Wealth Management. We also lead the development of digital tools and platforms to enhance collaboration.What You Will DoCollaborate with Finance to manage the creation and management of the Group Operating Plan, including, Annual budget and forecasts; 2-year plan or rolling forecast; tracking actuals vs plan; spend vs budget; progress against plan; financial forecasting to transit Managers; FTE, contractors and professional fees budget; track group savings/cost containment/cost avoidance etcPerform necessary reporting to satisfy all Business and Finance requirements.Work with the respective Business Unit leads to identify cost saving opportunities and optimization initiativesCollaborate with Finance Teams globally to improve data integrity of the financial records.The role collaborates with financial advisors and supports Senior Leadership to ensure timely review of financial resultsProvide financial management support for projects and key initiativesDetermine and assess cost drivers within the Tower to support analysis on cost trends and build out monthly and quarterly financial packages to be shared with senior leaders across Finance and HRCLAO ITWork directly with the Senior Director, HR Incentive Compensation Technology in building out annual plans aligned with the business strategyIdentify / Report on key financial metrics to present overall HRCLAO IT’s financial story including efficiency metrics, cost and workforce composition.Partner with Finance and senior leadership team to ensure that NIE and project spend aligns to fundingRepresent financial and workforce information in executive level meetingsBuild trusted relationships with key stakeholders and effectively measuring key performance indicators for the portfolioCollaborate across multiple Business areas, ensuring financial and planning alignmentWhat You Need To SucceedMinimum 5 years of experience in financial statement preparation, budgeting, and forecastingExcellent communication skills and experience working with an Executive audienceStrong attention to detail and business acumenStrong analytical and commentary skills to drive business insights actionable by senior leadersExcellent executive presence, with the ability to effectively communicate financial performance to senior leadersAdvanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, with excellent data visualization skillsBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Commerce (or equivalent experience)Nice to havePrior Big 4 or consulting experienceMBA or advanced degreeWhat’s in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
