You will be responsible for the design, implementation and management of systems, analysis, governance, policies, processes, monitoring, and reporting related to our financial operations, in order to deliver the Lifetime Support Scheme (LSS). This includes oversight of significant long-term investments and actuarially modelled liabilities, integration of complex financial systems, the delivery of 'insurance-like' financial, budget, and accounting functions, and oversight of a growing volume of accounts payable.You will have a leadership style that is collaborative, strategic and people-focused, which will enable you to provide leadership, coaching and direction to a team of about ten finance professionals. Being a small agency, you will be involved in everything from the hands on, day to day work, to supporting Executives with strategic level future planning.For more information about the role, please refer to the Job & Person Specification .The Experience We Are Looking For...To be successful in our position you will have:Extensive experience in leading and managing teams including the performance and development of staff, determining operational policies and procedures, setting goals and achieving agreed outcomes.Extensive experience in determining and delivering financial management strategies and delivering an organisation's finance, budget and accounting functions, systems, services, monitoring, reporting obligations and advice to Executive.Experience in the identification and leading the delivery of complex transformational projects.Detailed knowledge of, or the ability to quickly learn, relevant government policies and procedures relating to financial management including legislation, standards, codes, policies and instructions from Government.Proven ability to research and analyse complex strategic, operational and technical issues to support best-practice financial management and high-level organisational performance.If you don't meet all of these requirements but think you would be great at this job, we'd still like to hear from you.Now, a Bit About Who We Are...The Lifetime Support Authority (LSA) delivers the Lifetime Support Scheme (LSS) which funds necessary and reasonable treatment, care and support for people who sustain serious injuries in a motor vehicle accident on South Australian roads, regardless of fault.As a team, we are passionate about our contribution and committed to our vision: Making a difference in the lives of LSS Participants, who are at the centre of what we do.Our person-centred approach extends to our people; we offer attractive, modern offices in Adelaide's CBD as well as opportunities to work from home; a dynamic, supportive, and flexible work environment and we value empathetic and thoughtful like-minded people, as much as we value skill set.Our people are important to us and encouraged to flourish through professional development opportunities.
