If you are ready to lead strategic projects, shape business and market development initiatives, and drive transformative partnerships, this role offers you the chance to be part of a dynamic Business Area covering 22 countries in the Middle East and Central Asia based in the Business Area (BA) office in Istanbul, Türkiye.Your new roleAs Senior Manager, Strategic Projects & Business Development, you will act as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to the Director of Corporate Affairs.Your responsibilities will include:Leading business- and market development projects in close collaboration with relevant functional areas and affiliates, ensuring successful end-to-end execution of new business models and approaches across select BA markets.Identifying, developing and managing new partnership opportunities with relevant external stakeholders, negotiating and co-creating market-fit solutions that help drive growth across BA affiliates.Leading strategic, cross-functional BA projects and initiatives; conducting market and stakeholder analysis, identifying growth and impact opportunities, and translating complex information and insights into strategic priorities, business cases, and executive-level presentations/communications.Providing support with executive office matters, strategic business planning, as well as strategic process- and project management. Your new department Business Area Middle East and Central Asia (BAMECA) is anchored within Region Emerging Markets and is responsible for Novo Nordisk’s operations in seven fast growing affiliates spanning 22 countries within the Middle East and Central Asia region. The Corporate Affairs department serves as the strategic nexus of the organisation, uniting the executive office, strategy, insights, business development, communications, media relations, and sustainability under one cohesive team. As a member of this forward-thinking unit, you will collaborate closely with other BA functional areas and affiliate teams, driving impactful initiatives that propel the organisation’s growth and transformation. Our approach is rooted in collaboration and proactive engagement, ensuring Corporate Affairs plays a central role in shaping BAMECA’s strategic ambitions.Your Skills & QualificationsYou hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, economics, engineering, public/international relations, business development, or related field with experience in business development, strategic partnerships, and/or strategic project management. You are fluent in both written and spoken English and in addition to this:You are a strong and driven strategic project manager with an analytical approach to projects and tasks.You have a strategic mindset, and you are proactive, accountable, and self-driven with the ability to think critically and anticipate future trends. You have an explorative and entrepreneurial mindset, willing to test non-proven business models.You have experience in leading new business model exploration with proven exposure to diverse operating models within the pharmaceutical sector, preferably in emerging markets settings.You are skilled in designing and implementing robust frameworks to establish and manage effective external partnerships.You preferably have experience working with varied commercial partners and networks and are adept at tailoring approaches for different local markets. Further, you possess a foundational understanding of value chains, outsourcing, and distribution agreements.You are highly skilled at preparing executive level communication with a knack for turning complex information into simple and compelling messages. You possess excellent networking and influencing skills, consistently building strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation, and are particularly skilled at establishing and nurturing effective relations with external partners.You can work in a global, multi-cultural context and your robust interpersonal and communication skills enable you to effectively collaborate across teams and departments, fostering an environment of strategic thinking and a team-oriented approach.Working at Novo NordiskEvery day we seek the solutions that defeat serious chronic diseases.
