With a global team of over 4,000 highly skilled developers, consultants, analysts and product owners, we engineer technology that redefines industries and shapes the way people live.About the role:As a Senior Manual QA Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow. Together, we will work on the project that focuses on maintaining and extending mission-critical trading systems ensuring stability, scalability, and real-time data integrity. You will work in a cross-functional agile team, closely collaborating with developers, analysts, and DevOps to validate trading workflows, automate test coverage, and ensure consistent quality across high-availability environments.This role requires strong analytical and technical skills, experience with manual and automated testing of backend and UI components, and a proactive approach to process improvement and test design in complex financial systems.Responsibilities: Design, plan, and execute manual and automated test cases for backend services and trading modulesEnsure end-to-end system validation across multiple components and data flowsReview and verify RESTful APIs using tools such as Postman, Swagger, or custom scriptsBuild and maintain automated regression test suites (e.g., with XUnit, NUnit, or similar frameworks)Collaborate with developers to ensure proper test coverage and defect resolutionParticipate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release validation activities in JiraMaintain and improve test documentation and procedures in Confluence / AsciiDocPerform functional, regression, smoke, and integration testing in complex environments (multiple configurations and components)Validate network communication (TCP/IP) and ensure correct message flow between trading modulesSupport continuous improvement by identifying gaps in processes, documentation, and toolingWork closely with the QA Lead and product teams to ensure stable, compliant, and high-performing releasesRequirements: 5+ years of experience in QA / Testing, preferably in financial or trading systemsStrong knowledge of software testing principles, including regression, integration, and system testingExperience with API testing (Postman, Swagger, REST clients)Solid understanding of SQL and ability to validate data consistency in MSSQL databasesFamiliarity with TCP/IP, socket communication, and message-based architecturesHands-on experience in test automation (C#, Python, or Java-based frameworks)Proficiency in Jira (issue tracking, reporting) and Confluence for documentationStrong analytical mindset and attention to detail.Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate in a distributed teamDesirable: Experience with CI/CD integration for testing pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins)Familiarity with Docker and containerized test environmentsKnowledge of performance and load testing tools (JMeter, k6, etc.)Understanding of message brokers (Solace, Kafka, RabbitMQ)Experience in financial/trading domain testing and regulatory compliance validationBasic knowledge of monitoring tools for QA in microservice environmentsWhat`s in it for you?Strong community: Work alongside top professionals in a friendly, open-door environmentGrowth focus: Take on large-scale projects with a global impact and expand your expertiseTailored learning: Boost your skills with internal events (meetups, conferences, workshops), Udemy access, language courses, and company-paid certificationsEndless opportunities: Explore diverse domains through internal mobility, finding the best fit to gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologiesFlexibility: Enjoy radical flexibility – work remotely or from an office, your choiceCare: We’ve got you covered with company-paid medical insurance, mental health support, and financial & legal consultationsAbout us:At Ciklum, we are always exploring innovations, empowering each other to achieve more, and engineering solutions that matter.
