PE Global are working with Europe's leading Data Centre delivery partner to recruit a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join the team in Sweden. This is a full time, permanent role offering a competitive salary, and benefits. It will be worked on a rotational basis in Sweden. Below is a list of typical duties that are required to be carried out during the project. This list is not exclusive. The Senior Mechanical Engineers will support the mechanical delivery element of the project in conjunction with the wider project team.RequirementsComplete mechanical design reviews to identify design gaps and deviations or contradictions in the specifications and IFC drawingsGenerate detailed RFI’s to address any ambiguity or potential design issuesValidate equipment sizing (ductwork, pipework etc.) and make recommendations as appropriateManage submittals through the approvals process, track procurement and delivery of electrical equipment and complete the receipt verification process once the equipment is delivered.Complete mechanical system walk-downs to ensure systems are compliant with specifications, drawings and the Integrated Management SystemManage, review and co-ordinate mechanical services in conjunction with other disciplines and the project BIM teamAdvise and guide the sub-contracted staff on all technical aspects of the projectAlong with the construction team, ensure sub-contractor compliance with all site and project requirements, including operational and health & safety obligationsPrepare method statements and risk assessments for construction activitiesCoordinate with the project team to sequence the installation of mechanical systems in the most efficient and safe wayApply troubleshooting techniques to identify problems and apply corrective actionsManage document control to ensure all logs are kept up to dateSkills & QualificationsA relevant qualification is essential, e.g. Degree in Mechanical Engineering. A trade qualification would be an advantage.5+ years of previous experience in a similar role, within a mechanical and electrical contracting environment is essentialExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.Knowledge of mechanical systems pertaining to data centre environment.Ability to maintain good customer relationships with other contractors whilst working on sites.Proficiency in the use of MS Word & Excel is required
