Role Summary:The Senior Mechanical Engineer is responsible for managing projects from award to delivery and handover. This includes handling estimation, concept design, tendering, technical management, coordination, and site supervision of all MEP works. The role ensures that all mechanical systems are designed and executed to the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and compliance with project objectives.Key Responsibilities:Conduct audits and detailed analysis of drawings produced by MEP teams at all project stages.Perform complete engineering design of mechanical systems.Identify potential project risks in cost, time, or quality, and recommend corrective actions.Propose technical alternatives and value engineering options during estimation or execution stages.Collaborate with architects during the concept phase to integrate MEP system designs and support accurate estimation.Review and evaluate received bids, including specifications and drawings.Develop method statements and other engineering documentation and manuals.Lead all technical aspects of assigned projects, ensuring successful and high-quality completion.Produce concept drawings and performance specifications sufficient for accurate cost estimation.Establish and manage site supervision and commissioning procedures.Oversee design development and construction works across ongoing projects.Deliver detailed, coordinated shop drawings suitable for high-end construction execution.Support project managers by providing technical guidance and knowledge transfer.Participate in tendering processes for major projects, ensuring accurate and competitive submissions.Monitor variations to initial project scope and ensure all coordination requirements are met.Ensure all deliverables meet budget, timeline, and design quality standardsEducation and Experience Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.Minimum 12 years of experience, including:At least 8 years in contracting.Minimum 3 years in engineering/design roles.Extensive experience in large-scale building projects (e.g., retail, malls, commercial).Proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, and planning software.Knowledge of mechanical design tools and software.Experience in Saudi market standards and materials is an advantage.Advanced English communication skills (written and spoken).Working Conditions:Standard working week of 5.5 days at head office.Availability to attend fast-track projects requiring weekend presence when necessary.Assignment may involve rotation between GCC countries and Lebanon (6 months each), with variations based on project needs.
