Job SummaryThe Senior Planning Engineer is responsible for developing, monitoring, and controlling project schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of construction projects. This role requires in-depth experience with Primavera P6 Must, analytical ability, and strong coordination skills to align planning activities with overall project execution strategies, particularly for hospitality-related projects.C. Responsibilities & TasksI. Project Planning & SchedulingDevelop detailed baseline schedules using Primavera P6, covering all phases design, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning.Define the project work breakdown structure (WBS), activity coding, and resource loading in coordination with project teams.Establish logical relationships and interdependencies between activities to create accurate critical path networks.Regularly update and maintain project schedules to reflect progress, scope changes, and variations.Forecast project completion dates based on current progress and identify potential delays early.II. Progress monitoring & reportingPrepare and issue weekly and monthly progress reports with updated schedules, progress curves, earned value analysis, and look-ahead plans.Track milestones, key performance indicators (KPIs), and deviations from the baseline schedule.Analyze delays and disruptions, determine their impact, and recommend corrective actions.Support project management in recovery planning and time extension claims.III. Resource & Cost PlanningCoordinate with cost control and procurement teams to ensure resource and material availability aligns with the project schedule. Integrate cost and schedule data for earned value management (EVM) reporting. Develop resource histograms and manpower forecasts to optimize workforce utilization .Assist in cash flow forecasting based on project progress and planned activities.IV. Coordination & Interface ManagementCollaborate with engineering, procurement, construction, and subcontractor teams to obtain accurate project data and status updates. Attend coordination meetings and present schedule updates, issues, and risk mitigation plans. Support the Project Manager in decision-making by providing planning insights and impact assessments for scope or sequence changes.V. Risk & Delay AnalysisIdentify potential project risks and schedule bottlenecks proactively.Perform delay analysis (concurrent delays, time impact analysis, etc.) and provide input for contractual claims. Recommend preventive or mitigation strategies to minimize schedule risks.VI. Documentation & ComplianceMaintain updated planning records, logs, and correspondence related to schedule changes.Ensure compliance with company standards, project specifications, and contractual time requirements. Support audit and review processes by providing accurate and timely planning documentation.C. AutonomyFreedom to carry out professionally the responsibilities and tasks described above.D. Required Qualifications, Skills & Key Competencies.Bachelor’s degree in civil, mechanical, electrical or industrial Engineering.Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in construction planning, with at least 5 years using Primavera P6 in large-scale infrastructure, or hospitality projects.Proven record of developing and managing complex project schedules from pre-construction through to completion.Strong understanding of project management principles, critical path method (CPM), and earned value analysis. Experience with claims, delay analysis, and extension of time (EOT) submissions preferred.Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and Excel (advanced) Must.Excellent communication, analytical, and presentation skills.Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects concurrently. Analytical and detail-oriented mindset. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.Collaborative team player with leadership capability.Excellent written and verbal communication.High integrity and commitment to deadlines.E.
