Senior Power systems engineerAssignment DescriptionThe position is on site, but during some time-periods the work can be done remotely up to 50%.During other periods, for an example during lab-testing there needs to be 100% availability on site.The candidate for this typically is:A M.Sc. with 15-25 years of R&D experience.A PhD in power electronics, and who also has hands on experience of working with power MOSFET's and dangerous voltages.The position requires that the consultant is/has:• Proficient in Altium designer and also experienced in PCB layout.• Proficient in electronics design.• Experienced in power electronics and thermal management.• Experienced in integration of electronics in mechanical enclosures with forced convection.• Experienced in lab-testing and verification of prototypes.• Experience of working with 400 VAC or higher voltages. The candidate must have at least 2 years hands on working experience with 400 VAC or higher to become a ECAP level 3.• Project leadership skills for leading a technical sub project in an international agile environment.Preferable the consultant also has:• Experience with Ansys CFD simulations• Having electrical competency authorization level 3, or similar experience for work in the laboratory with electrical equipment designed to operate at voltages below 1 kV.Other relevant informationDesired CompetencesElectronics System and Communication technologyEnergy (Power generation, T&D and Renewables)
