Procurement & SourcingIdentify, source, and qualify suppliers for mechanical materials, equipment, and systems.Prepare RFQs (Request for Quotation), analyze bids, and negotiate pricing, delivery, and payment terms.Conduct commercial and technical evaluations for mechanical packages (piping, pumps, valves, HVAC equipment, steel structures, etc.).Review and interpret mechanical drawings, BOQs, and specifications to ensure accurate purchasing.2. Vendor ManagementDevelop and maintain a strong supplier network locally and internationally.Evaluate supplier performance (quality, delivery, cost, compliance).Conduct regular audits and vendor assessments to ensure reliability and compliance with standards.3. Contracting & NegotiationNegotiate contracts, frame agreements, and long-term supply deals.Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and contractual requirements.Work closely with legal and finance teams on contract finalization.4. Coordination & CollaborationCollaborate with engineering, planning, and project management teams to clarify requirements.Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and resolve any technical or commercial issues.Coordinate with logistics for shipping, customs clearance, and site delivery.5. Cost Control & ReportingManage procurement budgets, cost-saving initiatives, and value engineering proposals.Track orders, prepare procurement schedules, and update project procurement status.Provide regular reports to management regarding procurement KPIs.QualificationsEducationBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Professional procurement certifications (CIPS, PMP, CPSM) are an advantage.Experience5–7years of experience in procurement for mechanical equipment in construction, MEP, manufacturing, or industrial projects.Strong background in sourcing pumps, compressors, piping materials, valves, HVAC components, steel fabrication, etc.Experience in international procurement and dealing with global suppliers
