Opasa is known for its expertise in solving complex IT challenges and supporting strategic business goals.Job Location: Melbourne, anywhere AustraliaPreferred only AU citizensPackages starts: AUD 120,000 plus superannuationJob type: WFHEngagement: Full time permanent roleProject Manager (Sensitive Telecom Domain)Mandatory RequirementsAustralian Citizen (non-negotiable)Active NV1 Security Clearance (NV2 preferred; ability to obtain NV2 desirable)Proven experience managing software implementation projects in secure or sensitive environmentsExperience in Telecom domain or large-scale network infrastructure programs (highly desirable)Core ResponsibilitiesLead and deliver end-to-end software implementation projects within secure telecom or government environmentsManage stakeholder expectations, delivery schedules, risks, and compliance requirementsOversee project teams, external vendors, and technical engineersEnsure strict adherence to security standards, confidentiality, and Defence/Government protocolsCreate and maintain project plans, technical documentation, and progress reportsCoordinate UAT, system integration, deployment, and post-implementation supportEnsure project delivery aligns with scope, timeframes, budgets, and regulatory obligationsWork closely with network, software, cybersecurity, and operational teamsRequired Skills & ExperienceProject Management Skills10+ years of experience leading software delivery, integration, or migration projectsStrong capability in project planning, scope management, risk management, and reportingHands-on experience with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery modelsAbility to work across complex multi-vendor and multi-team environmentsStrong understanding of SDLC, software release cycles, and deployment governanceTechnical / Domain SkillsExperience in Telecommunications, Defence, or Government secure environmentsUnderstanding of network systems, telecom infrastructure, OSS/BSS, or large distributed systemsFamiliarity with software integration, system testing, and deployment frameworksExperience working with high-security or restricted data systemsAbility to collaborate with engineers in domains such as:Software developmentNetwork engineeringCybersecurityCloud or on-premises infrastructureSoft SkillsExcellent stakeholder communication (executive, technical, and operational)Strong documentation and reporting capabilityAbility to deliver under pressure and tight timelinesHigh level of professionalism, discretion, and ethical responsibility
