Our client is a top financial institution with significant North American holdings. They have operations across most major verticals, including institutional & corporate, wealth management, private client, commercial banking, treasury, and retail banking.  Introduction: Robertson is seeking a skilled Senior Project Manager to join our client.  Contract Period: 12 months with potential to extend or convertPay Rate: Starting from $70 per hour  Location: Toronto, ONLocation Type: Hybrid; 4 days a week in officeBusiness Hours: Monday-Friday; 9:00 AM-5:00 PMJob Responsibilities:Provides strategic input into business decisions as a trusted advisorMay network with industry contacts to gain competitive insights and best practicesInfluences and negotiates to achieve business objectivesAssists in the development of strategic plansIdentifies emerging issues and trends to inform decision-makingHelps determine business priorities and best sequence for execution of business/group strategyConducts independent analysis and assessment to resolve strategic issuesActs as the prime subject matter expert for internal/external stakeholdersManages/validates financial forecasts and conducts ongoing reconciliationBreaks down strategic problems, and analyses data and information to provide insights and recommendationsMonitors and tracks performance and addresses any issuesDesigns and produces regular and ad-hoc reports, and dashboardsSocializes change management plans with stakeholders and consistently measures project effectiveness and adoptionDirects complex initiatives typically involving multiple business unitsExercises direct accountability for projects with up to 50 team membersNegotiates complex contracts with external vendors (in consultation with Strategic Sourcing) to ensure receipt of specific resources and materialsTakes ownership of the project from cradle to grave and ensures all project artifacts are completedManages overall project budgetProvides guidance to the project sponsor on the implementation and sustainment of projects, resulting in successful project outcomesManages all aspects of the project lifecycle, including business, operational and technology deliverablesEnsures all project processes are completedEnsures change management plans are developed, socialized and consistently measured to deliver the expected project benefits and adoptionExecutes project requirements in governance frameworks focused on risk appetite, regulatory and compliance standardsDevelops all related project management artifacts, while complying with applicable enterprise standardsMonitors and controls project deliverablesMakes recommendations and adjustments to the overall project plan to achieve deliverablesProvides project sponsor with advice on the viability of the business case (costs, benefits, KPIs, etc.) throughout the projectUnderstands project interdependencies and demonstrates critical thinking that proactively identifies project risks and establishes effective risk mitigation from the outsetDemonstrates stakeholder partnership that involves effective communicating with the project sponsor, gains and builds trust and rapportDemonstrates ownership and commitment by holding themselves accountable for the identification and resolution of project problemsLeads and/or represents the project in project team meetings, governance forums and inter-department forumsAdheres to Bank risk, regulatory and compliance controlsOperates at a group/enterprise-wide level and serves as a specialist resource to senior leaders and stakeholdersApplies expertise and thinks creatively to address unique or ambiguous situations and to find solutions to problems that can be complex and non-routineImplements changes in response to shifting trendsBroader work or accountabilities may be assigned as neededExperience & Qualification Requirement:MBA Degree10+ Years of Relevant ExperienceBusiness Project Manager ExperienceStakeholder Management ExpertiseAble to navigates challenging situations effectivelyAble to apply project management methodologies or approachesAble to manage project and business risks, including project interdependenciesAble to resolve project issues effectivelySeasoned professional with a combination of education, experience and industry knowledgeCollaboration & team skills with a focus on cross-group collaborationAble to manage ambiguityData driven decision makingValid PMP designation from the Project Management InstitutePrevious FI or consulting firms**** ALL CANDIDATES MUST COMPLETE A CRIMINAL AND CREDIT CHECK AS PART OF THE APPLICATION PROCESS **** ***We use AI technology as part of our application review process to assist with screening and assessment.
