Our client, a leading provider of advanced marine solutions for the offshore energy sector, is seeking an experienced Senior Purchaser to join their team in Serooskerke, NL. This role involves managing the full procurement cycle for offshore operations, ensuring cost efficiency, compliance, and timely delivery of goods and services.Job Description:The Senior Purchaser will oversee end-to-end procurement activities for offshore projects and fleet operations. This includes sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring adherence to budget and timelines. The position requires close collaboration with internal departments to maintain operational readiness and support logistics processes. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, a keen eye for detail, and proven experience in maritime or offshore procurement environments.Key Responsibilities:Procurement Oversight: Manage purchasing processes for assigned vessels, including requisition handling, RFQs, and budget approvals.Contract & Pricing Negotiation: Secure favorable terms with suppliers and issue purchase orders aligned with project requirements.Supplier Management: Maintain and develop vendor relationships, monitor performance, and identify cost-saving opportunities.System Administration: Utilize procurement systems (e.g., TM Master or similar) to manage workflows and documentation.Logistics Coordination: Work with logistics teams to resolve documentation issues and support freight-forwarding activities.Compliance & Reporting: Ensure all procurement actions meet internal policies and industry standards; track and report performance metrics.Team Collaboration: Contribute to the shore-based purchasing and logistics team, supporting overall operational goals.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree, higher diploma, or equivalent experience in procurement or supply chain management.Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a fast-paced procurement role within the oil and gas or offshore industry.Strong negotiation and communication skills with the ability to build effective supplier relationships.Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural, cross-functional environment.Solid understanding of marine and technical equipment, as well as logistics processes for international operations.Knowledge of global transportation modes (air, sea, land) and familiarity with INCOTERMS 2010.Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.Proficiency in English (written and spoken).Skilled in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).Hands-on experience with procurement systems such as TM Master, SAP, Maximo, or similar platforms.What’s Offered:Dynamic international work environment.Opportunities for career growth.Competitive salary and benefits.Commitment to safety, diversity, and sustainability.Due to the job location, candidates must have a valid Dutch work/residency permit (or EU citizenship) and live maximum 1 hour away from Serooskerke, NL.
