Senior QC Manual Engineer (Retail Domain)

Job PurposeWe are seeking a QC Manual Tester with solid experience in software testing within the Retail or FMCG business domain. You will take ownership of test analysis, execution, and quality validation across multiple platforms and systems. This role actively contributes to enhancing operational excellence and driving our digital transformation journey in retail.Key ResponsibilitiesReceive and analyze testing requirements for IT products and services.Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, and Product Owners to clarify system needs and testing scope.Develop test strategies, test plans, and detailed test cases.Execute manual tests across multiple platforms (Web, Desktop, Mobile apps – Android/iOS).Perform regression, integration, UAT, and cross-module testing.Record and track test results, report defects, and provide improvement recommendations.Conduct post-go-live defect analysis and support troubleshooting.Create test-related documents and ensure traceability.Participate in projects following Agile/Scrum practices.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields.Minimum 4 years of experience in manual software testing.Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and test design techniques.Experience testing across multiple platforms and multiple modules/business functions.Familiar with Retail operations, POS systems, inventory, or related business flows.Experience working with web, desktop, and mobile applications (Android & iOS).Ability to read and understand technical logic/code, and effectively communicate with developers.Familiarity with databases and SQL queries.Good documentation, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.PreferredCuriosity and ability to explore and apply AI tools to improve testing efficiency and productivity.Experience in test automation (basic) is a plus.Possession of relevant testing certifications (e.g., ISTQB) is an advantage.Knowledge of system deployment and user support during rollout.
