Role OverviewWe are looking for a Senior R&D Chef who can lead final recipe development, standardize cooking processes, and create SOPs for our specialized meal program.This person will work closely with our nutritionist panel to bring approved concepts to life while maintaining strict quality and nutritional standards.What You Will Be Responsible For1. Recipe Finalization & Nutritional Compliance· Finalize and perfect existing meal concepts in collaboration with our nutritionist panel· Ensure all recipes meet strict nutritional guidelines (low sodium, no refined sugar, balanced macros)· Conduct taste tests, texture optimization, and child-appeal validation· Document final recipes with precise measurements and cooking methods2. Small-Batch Production & Consistency· Develop small-batch cooking systems (5-20 portions per batch)· Create standardized prep and cooking procedures for consistent quality· Establish precise portion control and plating standards· Maintain strict hygiene and food safety protocols throughout the process3. Fresh-Cook Model & Shelf-Life Management· Optimize recipes for 3-4 day refrigerated freshness without preservatives· Test and validate shelf life, texture retention, and reheating performance· Ensure meals maintain flavor and safety throughout their shelf life4. SOP Development & Kitchen Training· Create detailed Standard Operating Procedures for all kitchen staff· Train and supervise junior chefs on precise execution of recipes· Establish quality control checkpoints and tasting protocols· Build a kitchen culture of precision, consistency, and food safety 5. Packaging & Presentation· Work with existing packaging to optimize meal presentation and portioning· Ensure visual appeal and maintain quality during storage and transport· Test packaging compatibility with different meal typesRequirements· culinary experience in R&D, meal prep, or commercial food production· Expertise in developing ready-to-heat / ready-to-eat meals· Strong understanding of nutrition, portioning, and food safety· Ability to create detailed SOPs and train kitchen teams· Precision-oriented with excellent palate and attention to detail.
