Korn Ferry has partnered with our client on their search for Senior Regional Business Manager The Company The company is a global leader in chemical innovation with over a century of expertise. Key Responsibilities Territory Focus: ASEAN countries, plus Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. The product portfolio for business expansion includes herbicides for rice, and insecticides and fungicides for vegetables and fruits.Business Expansion Strategy: Develop and implement targeted strategies to grow the business using the existing product portfolio. Collaborate with local partners to gather market insights and generate ideas. Marketing Execution: Design and carry out marketing strategies to boost sales of existing agrochemical products within the territory. Work closely with HQ and local distributors to ensure effective execution.Sales Planning: Provide strategic input during the development of the company’s sales plans and budget. Contribute actively to sales and development planning discussions with HQ.New Product Development: Propose innovative product ideas not yet commercialized in the region. Conduct feasibility studies and collect market intelligence with regional business partners to assess business opportunities.Unregistered Product Planning: Create business plans for pesticide products that are pending registration or approval in target countries. Engage with HQ to determine appropriate implementation and development steps based on internal evaluations.Communication & Coordination: Facilitate clear, consistent communication between local partners and HQ to ensure smooth alignment and execution of initiatives.Product Development Advisory: Provide ongoing recommendations to HQ on product development planning, considering regional market needs and regulatory environments. Experience and Professional Qualifications Over 15 years of commercial experience in the agricultural chemicals (pesticides) industry, with strong expertise in business development, marketing, and sales of agrochemicals across ASEAN countries—particularly in the markets of Thailand, Vietnam, and Indonesia—is highly valued.Knowledge of pesticides and their registration systems (which require government approval for sales), along with familiarity with the registration processes in ASEAN countries.Willing and able to travel for business, approximately 80 days per year.Bachelor’s degree in any discipline Competencies Strategic Mindset – Able to anticipate future possibilities and translate them into breakthrough strategies.Action-Oriented and Results-Driven – Focused on delivering measurable business impact, including achieving revenue growth targets.Cross-Cultural Communication – Skilled at building strong relationships with local business partners and coordinating effectively with HQ.Resourceful – Capable of building networks to enhance business effectiveness and gain a competitive advantage.Persistent and Resilient – Able to overcome challenges and setbacks effectively.
