Qualification:Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related fieldMinimum of 15 years of experience in construction supervision, with at least 5 yearsin a senior leadership roleStrong background in building, and multidisciplinary construction specifically high-rise projectsExtensive knowledge of construction contracts, claims management, and valueengineeringFamiliarity with local and international building codes and regulatory standardsProven ability to lead teams and manage large-scale projects effectivelyJob description and main tasks:To act as, and to fulfil the duties of the Engineer/Lead Consultant with regards to assigned duties, delegated authority and be directly responsible to the Employer during the construction of the worksManage deployment of resources to create project team capable of effectively completing the project with best quality standards. Monitor cost aspects of the supervision contract, forecast final costs, identify trends and take action to avoid cost overrunsResponsible for following up on instructions and commitments associated with the projectOversee establishment of Project Execution Plan, Health and Safety Plan, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan, and other documents as requiredPromote technical and commercial excellence on the project through application of Quality Assurance processesReview all shop/working/as-built drawings, design proposals, method statements, material submissions, any requests for information relating to the works with in the contract. Ensure accuracy, completeness of records and compliance to project KPI for document turnaroundCoordinate with Client/Project Manager, the Contractor and concerned Authorities. Participate in negotiations with regulatory agencies and in meetings in support of clients.Work with the key project individuals to devise and execute actions plans to rectify potential cost overruns or delays, or to accommodate significant changes to the scope of workAdvice the client and company management of any such changesEstablish the program requirements for all areas of the project, and monitors the draft and final deliverables for adherence to these criteriaEnsure that the project meets or exceeds goals establishedEnsure prompt response to Contractor and Client correspondenceMonitor the closure of all identified risks and opportunities. Visibly support risk identification and mitigation throughout the projectGenerally, supervise, review, monitor and report on progress of the works. Report to the management on the progress of all project activity within the program, including significant milestones, and any conditions, which would affect project cost or scheduleReport back as necessary to the Chief Executive Officer/Construction directorParticipate in contract administration, apply value engineering and give final approval to works and arrange for handoverHSEEnsure safety goals are achieved on the project and oversee implementation of safety procedures on the project. Act positively and participate in all health and safety issues at siteConvene and chair regular site meetingsClient RelationshipEstablish, maintain and build healthy client relationships. Proactively resolve performance, scope and schedule issues with the Client as they arise. Identify, document, communicate and meet the client's requirementsTeam/Site ManagementListen to the team, discuss the issues, resolve problems and direct activities to remove roadblocks and achieve objectivesCoordinate team leave requests and cover requirements with respective discipline leadsEnsure Client/Project Manager is notified of any project site staff leave absencesMonitor performance or project site staff and report any disciplinary issues arising as per protocolsMonitor attendance hours and rosters. Ensure arrangement of overtime inspections and records for re-imbursement from Client/ContractorReview and sign off timesheets on weekly basisReview, record and assist in a billing Client for sub-consultant services if applicableOnly shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
