And the good news is — the performance is just getting started.About The Role:As Senior Retail Analyst, will lead the end-to-end insight creation for our Wholesale, Retail and Amazon trading channels that will drive smarter decisions and improved commercial performance. You'll play a pivotal role in optimising our commercial performance across our Wholesale, Retail and Amazon channels. You'll dive deep into data to deliver insights that drive smarter decisions around pricing, promotions, sell-through, stock, and demand planning.You'll work hand-in-hand with Trading, Marketing, Finance, and Ops / Supply Chain teams to ensure we're growing profitably while keeping customers at the heart of every decision. This is an opportunity to help build the commercial foundations of a fast-scaling, purpose-led brand.Data, and this role, is critical to the success of AKT's continued growth, and as such this role is high profile, impactful and will work very closely with our senior management, in particular our SVP Sales, as well as the Head of and the Data & Insight team members. You will work across multiple stakeholders, functions and external partners as needed.The role will be based in the UK (and work UK hours) but will liaise occasionally with stakeholders from the USA and other territories so some flexibility is required.RequirementsPricing & Promotions (20%)Develop and manage a data-led pricing strategy across D2C, retail, and international marketsEvaluate promotional performance, assessing ROI, elasticity, and long-term brand impactCollaborate with Marketing and Trading to test and optimise offers that drive both acquisition and retentionMonitor competitor activity and market dynamics to ensure price competitiveness and margin protectionSales, Stock & Demand Insights (40%)Lead commercial reporting and analysis across sales, sell-through, and stock to identify trends and trading opportunitiesPartner with Supply Chain to enhance forecasting accuracy and ensure optimal stock availabilityIdentify over- and under-performing SKUs and provide clear, actionable recommendations to optimise margin and sell-throughSupport trading decisions around replenishment, markdowns, and range transitionsLeverage retailer data portals (e.g. Sephora Data Exchange, Space NK sales reports, Douglas EDI, and Mecca reporting systems) to access data and analyse sell-through, inventory, and promotional performance at the door and SKU levelChannel & Product Performance (30%)Deliver insight on category, product, and channel performance to inform range and launch strategiesBuild and maintain intuitive dashboards (ThoughtSpot) that empower teams (internal and external partners) to make faster, data-driven decisionsPartner with E-commerce and Retail teams to assess the commercial impact of campaigns and product dropsTrack and evaluate new product launches, seasonal campaigns, and promotional events by retailer and region. Measure post-launch success through door productivity, incremental sales, and retention impactCross-Functional Collaboration (10%)Align closely with Trading, Ops & Finance to support forecasting, budgeting, and margin planningWork with Marketing to measure commercial uplift from paid, organic, and promotional campaignsCollaborate with the Data and Tech teams to improve data sources, infrastructure and automationsAbout You:Relevant experience in a commercial or trading analytics role within a D2C, consumer, or retail environment (ideally personal care, skincare, or beauty)Demonstrable experience of high numeracy, strong attention to detail and the ability to solve problemsExpert in discovering trends, analysis of complex datasets, and linking data insights to commercial action — balancing short-term trading goals with long-term brand growthStrong understanding of pricing, promotions, and retail sell-through dynamicsProven ability in sku performance, forecasting demand and optimising replenishment, and markdownsExpert SQL skills, ideally using cloud databasesGood knowledge and experience of database structure and modelling, preferably using DBT or similarExperience of developing powerful data visualisation and communicating compelling stories using modern BI tools, such as ThoughtSpot, and slidesGood understanding of, and experience, in pricing and promotional testing and measurement, working with teams to design, implement and analysis of initiativesKnowledge of and experience in building statistical and machine learning models such as pricing, classification, causal inference, forecasting using python, or similarExperience working in a fast-paced retail, eCommerce, B2C and/or subscription businessBenefitsBackstage Perks Make a real impact on our next act by joining AKT at an exciting stage of growth, following our recent USA, Australia and New Zealand launchesFlexible working: work from home, at our Oxford Circus office (which comes with gym access), or in co-working spaces across the UK.
